Choice of Fine Art Print Papers
In addition to a wide range of sizes to choose from, I also offer a variety of different papers for my fine art prints. Consequently, your choice of paper can give a variety of different feels to the finished artwork. The default options are explained below, together with some alternatives that you may wish to consider. I have chosen my default papers for my fine art prints and canvases based on their excellent colour rendition, luxury finish and longevity. This ensures that you will be enjoying your landscape fine art prints and canvases for many years to come.
Fuji Maxima DPII
Fujicolour Maxima silver halide colour paper is a high-quality product designed to exceed expectations. It offers improved longevity and shows exceptional deep blacks and great shadow details creating high-end photography work to be displayed in galleries or to showcase photography as art pieces. This paper is superb for my landscape prints and is recommended for both colour and monochrome images.
This paper provides exceptional quality at a value for money price point. You can find out more about this fantastic paper on the Fuji Website.
Permajet FB Gold Silk 315
This is a heavyweight baryta paper with a sumptuous silk /satin finish. This paper is perfect for creating outstanding landscape artwork. The paper has a natural, warm base tint to emulate the surface finish, texture and coating of traditional darkroom baryta/fibre-based papers.
This paper is recommended for those looking for just a little more luxury from their landscape fine art prints.
This is our default choice when it comes to fine art prints. More information about this paper can be found on the Permajet Website.
By special request, we can also provide fine art prints on a range of other papers as follows:
Permajet Museum 310 – An outstanding, slightly textured loose weave heavyweight paper with an impressive scuff-resistant coating avoiding ‘flaking’. This paper is ideal for galleries, museums and those wanting fine art prints in colour with a high degree of detail and pronounced texture.
Permajet Ultra Pearl 295 – Ultra Pearl is a highly pronounced Oyster/Pearl paper which is reminiscent of the finish on a traditional lab Crystal Archive paper. Ultra Pearl offers a high scuff-resistant resin-coated surface. This paper has proven popular with hotels and restaurants when choosing fine art prints.
Hannemuhle Photo Rag 308 – Photo Rag® is a valued all-rounder for high-quality fine art prints. With its premium matt inkjet coating and the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness.
Hannemuhle German Etching 310 – With its premium matt inkjet coating German Etching meets the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness with excellent reproduction of colour and detail, deep black and optimum contrasts while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper. Ideal for photographic and fine art prints for display purposes and exhibitions. Another paper that is popular with hotels and restaurants.
All my canvases are printed on the highest quality 100% natural art canvas material, utilising the very latest Epson wide-format printing technology and Epson Ultra Chrome inks. This ensures you always get the best results from your chosen photo. Canvases are coated with a protective varnish for proven long-lasting UV protection. After printing and coating your image, it is then hand-stretched on to 1.5” thick gallery stretcher bars. This ensures a high-quality finish to all canvas prints.
All canvas prints are available in four edge options:
1. Black Edges
2. White Edges
3. Wrap Edge (most popular)
4. Mirror Edge
